Q&A

When is the actual wedding ceremony?

The actual wedding ceremony is on Saturday. We have camp activities on Friday and Saturday before Ceremony.

What are the sleeping accommodations like at Camp Mabe?

Cabins come equipped with bunkbeds and range in size, holding 2 – 22 guests each. Some of our cabins include restrooms with showers; central bath facilities are provided for all other cabins. We will strategically assign cabins once we have all RVSPs in and have an accurate headcount.

How does food for the weekend work?

All meal will be provided by the camp.

HOW DO YOU PAY FOR CAMPING

You can pay via Zelle or Apple Pay to Brandon Mabe 760-449-0343 (we will be paying the Camp directly for everyone who stays to make things easier).

Are kids welcome?

Yes! Camp Mabe is kid friendly, but not animal/pet friendly (it's located in a National Forest).

What will the weather be like?

Welcome to the Southern California Mountains, all of you out-of-towners! The weather here can be funny. During the day, the weather in Angelus Oaks should be beautiful, averaging 70-75 degrees, but it will get chilly at night. Please bring some warm layers for the evening and for sitting around a fire.

What should I wear?

- Sturdy closed-toed shoes for Camp activities - Appropriate clothing for Camp activities - Sweatshirt and jacket for chilly evenings - Cocktail Attire for the Wedding - Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and chapstick - Bathing suit, beach towel & flip flops

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Camp Mabe is outdoors except for the Main Lodge and sleeping cabins. Our wedding and reception will also be outdoors.

How will food and drinks be served?

Camp Wasewagan will provide all meals all weekend long. Soda and water will be provided. We will have an open bar for the reception. Please bring what drinks you would like for the rest of the weekend.

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

Calling all ladies! Do not wear stiletto heels. I repeat, do not wear stiletto heels. Camp Mabe is in a National Forest which means dirt, rocks, mulch, leaves, etc., so wear chunky heels, booties or sandals. Can't have any of you ruining nice shoes or breaking any ankles!
